KVIS in
collaboration with the PTT Group Education team, organized the Science Kit
Project for schools in nearby areas, including Banchongko
School, Chumchonbanwangchan School, Banklongbangbor School, Plongta-iam School,
Bankaotalad School, Banchumsaeng School, Bannongmoung School, Bankhaota-in
School, Bankaengwai School, Banklongpai School, Watpayup School, Banbuengtakad
School, Thairath Witthaya 43 School (Banklongkhet), Banyuptaneng School, Bannamkroi
School, Bannongkhor School, Bantasao School
The project aims to build foundational
knowledge about light energy and optics through hands-on activities.
Additionally, it seeks to expand learning opportunities and enhance the quality
of science education, focusing on Grade 5 students. The project was led by Mrs. Thidarat
Toommakorn, KVIS Manager, with support from KVIS teachers in this project.
The handover
of the Science Kits was held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, to 17 schools.
The kits included Liquid Droplet Magnifying Glass and Simple Lens Demonstration
Kits. The KVIS teacher designed and produced the work. The event was honored by
the presence of KVIS administrators and the project chairman, who formally
handed over the science kits. Mr. Wanlop Phujomjit, Deputy Director of Rayong
Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, also attended as a witness.
Additionally,
representatives from PTT Public Company Limited; Rayong Gas Separation Plant
provided knowledge in a special session titled "Expanding Perspectives and
Inspiring Self-Discovery for Pursuing STEM Career Pathways." This was
followed by a lecture on "Geometrical Optics" and demonstrations of
the science kits conducted by KVIS students.
